As part of the Mostar Run Weekend, on March 20 at 19:00, the RUN Conference will take place in the congress hall of Hotel Mepas—a panel gathering leaders from the regional and international running scene, offering insights into the future of the running movement, its social and economic impact, and the role of technology in the development of sport.

One of the panelists is Erol Mujanović, founder of the Sarajevo Marathon and the Longevity.ba platform, a Doctor of Economics and a long-time promoter of a healthy and active lifestyle. Erol will speak about the development of the running community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the economic impact of major sporting events, and the broader concept of longevity and health as the foundation of a sustainable sports movement.

Kristijan Sindik, director of the Split Marathon and the Boka Marathon, will also share his extensive international experience. As a runner who has competed on all continents and completed all World Marathon Majors, Kristijan will discuss global trends in running, the development of major marathon destinations, and how global practices compare with the potential of our region.

The technological and athletic dimension of the panel will be presented by Timur Čerkez, a triathlete who has successfully completed Ironman distances and a representative of Rolla. Through the topic “Empowering the Running Community through Rolla: From Performance Tracking to Holistic Health,” Timur will explore how digital tools can enhance training, accurately track performance, help prevent injuries, and contribute to long-term athlete health—as well as how technology can further connect and strengthen the running community.

The RUN Conference in Mostar brings together experience, science, sport, and innovation—opening space for discussion on how to build a strong, sustainable, and internationally recognized running movement.

See you on March 20 at 19:00 at Hotel Mepas.
